PA Pre-K Counts Teacher:

~ BA/BS in Early Childhood Education with Level I ECE Certification. 
~ Benefits: health, dental and vision insurance, 401k retirement plan, paid holidays, paid time off

Head Start Teacher:

~  BA/BS in Early Childhood Education – preferred for Head Start and Child Care Teachers
~  AA degree in Early Childhood Education and experience working with children/families – minimum for Teachers in Head Start and Child Care Options only

~ Benefits: health, dental and vision insurance, 401k retirement plan, paid holidays, paid time off 

Assistant Teacher:

~ AA degree in Early Childhood Education* or Child Development Associate Credential (CDA)* or
~ High school diploma/GED AND enrolled in a CDA or college courses to obtain ECE degree to be completed within two years of the time of hire
~ Benefits: health, dental and vision insurance, 401k retirement plan, paid holidays, paid time off (for full-time)
* PA PreK Counts Assistant Teacher must have AA in ECE or CDA credential prior to hire

Teacher Aide

~High school diploma/GED and experience with children/families
~ AND the commitment to enroll in Child Development Associate (CDA) credential process or college courses to obtain ECE degree after one (1) year* of service and with recommendation from immediate supervisor and Team Leader.
* One (1) year of experience = 1,250 clock hours

Anyone interested in employment opportunities with Child Development, Inc. must successfully
pass an ACT 34—Clearance (Report of Criminal History from the Pennsylvania
State Police); an ACT 151—Clearance (Child Abuse History certification from the Department of
Human Services);
  an FBI fingerprint background check; the National Sex Offender Registrya
physical exam;
a TB test and a pre-employment drug screening
prior to their first day of employment.
