Head Start is a comprehensive, family-focused program that prepars children both academically and socially for a smooth transition into kindergarten supported by federal and state funds.
Head Start offers children ages 3-5 years
with the following services:
- Minimum 5 hour instructional day
- Extended hours available for working families
- Qualified teaching teams
- Team Members certified in Infant and Child First Aid/CPR
- Individualized learning activities
- Educational screenings
- Health screenings and follow up
- Parent workshops and support services
- Breakfast and lunch provided
- Registered nurse on duty
- Enroll children with disabilities
- A smooth transition form pre-kindergarten to kindergarten
- Use a curriculum that will help your child grow academically and socially
Learning activities are designed to meet each child’s individual needs.
We work with local schools as children enter Kindergarten. There are services available to children with disabilities, family support services and parental workshops.
