Head Start is a comprehensive, family-focused program that prepars children both academically and socially for a smooth transition into kindergarten supported by federal and state funds.

Head Start offers children ages 3-5 years
with the following services:

  • 4 ½ or 5 hour instructional day
  • Extended hours available for working families
  • Qualified teaching staff
  • Staff certified in Infant and Child First Aid
  • Individualized learning activities
  • Educational screenings
  • Health screenings and follow up
  • Parent workshops and support services
  • Breakfast and lunch provided
  • Registered nurse on duty
  • Enroll children with disabilities
  • A smooth transition form pre-kindergarten to kindergarten
  • Use a curriculum that will help your child grow academically and socially
  • Small class sizes
