What are Early Learning Resource Centers (ELRCs)?
ELRCs were created to improve the quality of and access to early learning services throughout the state of Pennsylvania to help families identify the best child care options that meet the needs of their child(ren) while offering connections to additional services.
Early Learning Resource Centers (ELRCs) provide a single point-of-contact for families, early learning service providers, and communities. They can assist with finding services that support high-quality child care and early learning programs, such as state subsidized child care services (Child Care Works); Head Start services; PA Pre-K Count services and Early Intervention services in both Sclhuylkil and Berks counties.
There are 19 ELRC Regions throughout the state. Schuylkilll and Berks Counties are part of Region 13. Child Development, Inc. staff operate the primary locations for Schuylkill and Berks Counties (see locations listed below), while Community Services for Children of Allentown, Pennsylvania manages the funding for all four regions: 11, 12, 13 and 14.
